Fun with stick figures

I am working on two portraits at the moment, one in graphite and one in watercolor. Both are taking a very long time. Graphite one – because it is complex, and watercolor one – because I don’t know what I am doing. I got tired of all this serious work full of self importance and had some fun with stick figures. So there!
Graphite and Pigma Micron pen on sketch paper.

A skeleton full of life! Great contrast:)
Don’t they looks a little like crickets as well? But they are very cute, I admit. And they also make me think of El Día de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead), which is a fun and light-hearted holiday.
lol the one with the box reminds me of you dumping babycat from the box!
Maybe there is a cat in that box as well :). It would be one unhappy kitty being tossed up like that and all…
I like all of them , and although, I could see some limitations of ” Feeling blue” I still love it, especially the colors
I am so glad you stopped by, Tanya! Yea, “Feeling Blue” does not belong to Masterpiece Gallery yet, although I have gotten several very helpful suggestions from my artists friends and have made some positive changes. Still, as they put on progress reports in second grade, – more work is needed!
These are fun – what a great way to relax in between two larger works.
Good to see you, Casey! Thank you for your comment. These indeed were so much fun and definitely up to no good, as I was goofing off, straying away from my serious and difficult work.

Nice to “meet” you, Jan! Thanks for your kind comment! I visited your blog too, good that you left the URL – love your watercolors and caricatures.
